Ìý Breast Reconstruction Friday 13 June 2003 Ìý
Kerry Fowler
The most recent studies suggest that one in nine women in the UK are at risk of developing breast cancer sometime during their lifetime.

Kerry Fowler is the features editor at Good Housekeeping Magazine. Almost 2 years ago a lump in her breast was diagnosed as breast cancer and she had a mastectomy.
Anyone who undergoes such an operation who is suitable for reconstruction should be offered reconstructive surgery under the NHS.
At the time Kerry decided she didn't want the additional operation. But more recently she changed her mind and not long ago she made an appointment to see a plastic surgeon, Tony Armstrong.
Anna McNamee went to meet Kerry to find out why she changed her mind.
