Ìý Author, Sheila Quigley 05ÌýApr 2004 Ìý
Grandmother, Sheila Quigley has just published her first novel, Run For ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½, a gritty thriller set in the North East of England.

Starting work at 15 in a tailoring factory, she married at 18 and had three daughters and a son.

Recently divorced, Sheila has lived on the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½lands Estate at Houghton-le-Spring near Sunderland for 30 years and in that time has had numerous jobs including market trader, machinist and double glazing saleswoman.

Sheila talks to Woman's Hour about her experiences and what it's like to become an author late in life.

Run For ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ is published by Century Hardback ISBN 1844134024 and in paperback ISBN 1844134032.
