Scotland's successful young chefs

Scottish Food Fortnight is in full swing north of the border, as the industry celebrates its best local produce. And no-one will be in more patriotic mood than the Mckie sisters. They may not sound Scottish, but 25 year-old Claire, andÌýLouise who's 23,Ìýwere both recognised in their own right at this year's Scottish Chef Awards 2005 in Glasgow.

The sisters were trained by their father, Roger, who owns the Royal Hotel in Tighnabruaich in Argyll. Claire, Head Chef at Glasgow's Café Royale, won the Best New Scottish Restaurant award and Louise, Head Chef at the Royal Hotel, was nominated for the Best Rural Chef category.

Angela Robson went to find out how they'd achieved success so young.

Scottish Food Fortnight runs from 17 SeptÌýtoÌý2 October
