After a period of public consultation and with the agreement of the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Trust two digital radio stations 6 Music and the Asian NetworkÌýwill close down, spending on TV programmes from abroad and on sports rights will be pared back, and the number of sections on the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½â€™s website will be halved. The £600 million saved will be reprioritised into what’s described as ‘high quality content’.
