Brandsbutt Symbol Stone Ìý
Brandsbutt Symbol Stone This pictish stone is found near Inverurie. This stone only has Pictish symbols and writing on it. It has a z-rod, serpent , a crescent and V-rod. It also has words in the pictish writing called ‘Ogham’ on the left hand side.

This stone has both Pictish symbols and Christian ones on it. This side of the stone shows a battle scene. This stone has both Pictish symbols and Christian ones on it. This side of the stone has a cross with celtic animals around it. The stone was erected in the 7th or 8th century.

Dupplin Cross
This is an example of a free standing cross with only Christian symbols on it. It was found at Forteviot, this was in ancient times a residence for Pictish kings.
