Leonard and Hungry Paul: Special ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Preview Screening

Fully booked

Leonard and Hungry Paul is a brand-new comedy drama series for ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Northern Ireland television.

It’s based on Rónán Hession’s critically acclaimed novel (of the same name) and is narrated by Julia Roberts – reflecting her affection for the book.

Leonard and Hungry Paul is an evocative story of friendship, kindness, first love and the expansion of the universe. Its quiet brilliance celebrates everyday people and their lives and provides a feel-good embrace of humour, optimism and brilliant characterisation.Ìý

We’ll be showing the first two (30mins) episodes of this series and will be joined by Rónán Hession in conversation with Sarah Brett (from Good Morning Ulster) – talking about the book, its adaptation for television and his work as a writer more generally.

This event is being organised as part of celebrations to mark Book Week 2025, which is a joint initiative between the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ and Libraries NI.

Tickets for this ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ screening are free, but will be limited to two per applicant.
