Bollywood has been releasing suspense thrillers in abundance of late. Following this trend is Wajahh - A Reason To Kill.

This film persents two stories - a murder mystery and a love triangle with two ladies falling for the same guy.

Dr. Aditya (Arbaaz Khan) is a neurosurgeon who is in love with his beautiful wife, Trishna (Gracy Singh).

Successful at his profession, Dr Aditya is always busy with patients. So he spends little time with his wife.

Meanwhile, a lonely Trishna begins to have nightmares of someone trying to kill her. She does not tell her husband because she knows that he will not believe her story.

But one dark night when they are asleep, someone breaks the glass window with a stone and sends a message written in blood. This frightens Trishna even more.

In the middle of all this upheaval, Ishita (Shamita Shetty), a former patient of Aditya, returns from abroad.

She is in love with Aditya. Her regular appointments with the doctor create further tension in Trishna's marriage.

Soon, Trishna's close friend, Sonia gets murdered in their house. It's from then on that the story takes a new turn.

Inspector Bholenath (Satish Kaushik) points the finger of suspicion at Aditya.

The story has all the ingredients for a decent suspense thriller, but the screenplay is a huge let down. It raises a number of questions in your mind including:

What mental problems, is Ishita meant to be suffering from? Where does Ishita disappear after cutting her wrists during the party sequence? And why does she come back in the finale?

...too many loose ends!

The direction by Gautam Adhikari is average. He fails to effectively deliver the suspense-thrilling elements on screen.

Arbaaz Khan's character is poorly fleshed-out. Gracy Singh is no better than adequate. Shamita Shetty might look drop dead gorgeous, but not a lot can be said about her acting.

On the whole, Wajahh - A Reason To Kill is only for those who want to kill time.
