Tom Verran from Wedmore has won the West of England regional heat of a short-film competition organised by Bafta.

Website readers voted Tom Verran's film, Celebrate, the best in the West in the 60 Seconds of Fame competition.

Budding filmmakers were invited to submit a 60-second short film to mark Bafta's 60th birthday.

Tom won a pair of tickets to the 2007 British Film Academy Awards ceremony in London on Sunday 11 February.
