Joan Bakewell's guest on Belief is the editor of Emel - the most widely read British Muslim magazine. Sarah Joseph regularly appears on lists of the world's most influential Muslims. A deeply religious child, she was baptised and confirmed into the Catholic Church and even thought about becoming a nun. But then, at the age of sixteen, Sarah embraced Islam. She's made a career of communicating her understanding of Islam to British society. and was awarded an OBE in 2004.
