Freedom of choice

Together

Available for over a year

In today’s show Gemma interviews Anna Rickards, a Manchester police officer, who visited Uganda as part of a project organised by the charity Retrak to help impoverished street children. We are Exploring the lack of choice that many people living in poverty experience. In the story we follow a charity worker as he walks through Kisenyi, a large slum in Kampala, Uganda. He reflects on a recent visit and encounters many of the children who she works with there, all of whom have a story. Emmanuel, one of the children, has a happy chapter in her story that is just beginning.
