Petroc Trelawny talks to the American violinist Hilary Hahn, renowned for championing new music. He asks her whether she has a conscious mission to re-cast the role of the classical soloist in the 21st century. Petroc also explores Schoenberg's 'fragmentary masterpiece', his opera Moses und Aron, which tells the story of two brothers struggling with their divine mission. Plus, a look at the history of the pioneering record label Nonesuch, which started as a budget classical label in 1964 but was soon at the forefront of contemporary classical music, with artists like John Adams, Steve Reich, Kronos Quartet and Philip Glass all signed as Nonesuch artists.
