Bells on Sunday

Available for over a year

Bells on Sunday comes from the Church of St Mary, Andover in Hampshire. The church was built in 1840, replacing the previous smaller Norman church on the same site. The bells were originally cast by Lester and Pack of London in 1758/9. Robert Wells of Aldbourne recast the fourth in 1784. In 1947, Taylors recast the third and retuned the whole ring. The Tenor weighs fifteen hundredweight and is tuned to E. We hear them ringing Grandsire Triples.
