100 days after Boris Johnson announced the first coronavirus lockdown on 23 March 2020, we heard updates from Newsbeat listeners who explained how the pandemic had changed their lives. This programme was first broadcast on 3 June 2020. It won Gold Award for 'Best News Coverage' at the 2021 Radio Academy Audio and Radio Industry Awards (ARIAs). The judges said: "50 years from now people will be able to listen to this audio and immediately understand what we went through in 2020".
