Bells on Sunday comes from Christ Church, Swindon in Wiltshire. The church was designed by Sir Gilbert Scott in 1851. It has a fine ring of ten bells, cast by John Taylor in 1924 with a twenty one and three quarter hundredweight tenor in the note of F sharp. These bells were immortalised by the poet John Betjeman, “Your peal of ten ring over then this town, Ring on my men nor ever ring them downâ€. We hear them ringing Stedman Caters.
