Everyone craves a place where their mind and body are not applied to a particular task. The nearest faraway place. Somewhere for drifting and lighting upon strange thoughts which don't have to be shooed into context, but which can be followed like balloons escaping onto the air. Late at night, in the dark and in a bunk bed, your tired mind can wander. Patrick Marber and Peter Curran are joined by singer Guy Garvey and actor Rachael Stirling on the spare mattress. Rachael describes poignant and comic mishaps while caring for her mother, Dame Diana Rigg. This includes Guy polishing off an end-of-life takeaway order of spring rolls, much to the beloved Dame's outrage. Producer: Peter Curran A Foghorn Company production for ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio 4, first broadcast in February 2021.
