Philip Price has become increasingly worried about where he will live when he and his wife retire in the next few years. After raising three children and working their entire lives, Philip and his wife have not been able to save money for their retirement. The toll on Philip’s body working as a septic tank driver has been terrible, and he can’t continue past retirement age in such a labour intensive job. The couple have come to the drastic decision to move into a converted campervan as they will no longer be able to afford their rent on a state pension. Philip wants to know why he has to make the move into a van and what support is in place for retirees like him. Shouldn't retirement be about relaxing and not worrying about housing security? He’s determined to find out how he can have a good retirement and what help is out there for others in his situation.
