Tony Blair is back in Downing St, London is rocked by the bombings of 7/7 and 14/7, Man Utd are snapped by the Glazers and the UK has its first Civil Partnerships. The big ringtone is Crazy Frog, the big bands are Coldplay, Arctic Monkeys and Kaiser Chiefs and TV sees the arrival of Desperate Housewives, The Apprentice and Deal or No Deal. Liverpool win the European Cup and England win the Ashes.
