Reality-style sitcom about dysfunctional Belfast couple Helen and Joe McMelter. Joe is hiding some cash from Helen because he has a tip on a greyhound and he’s planning a successful night at the dogs, but Helen wants a new wardrobe and she’s going to purge Joe’s gambling budget to buy it. Their marriage, like many marriages, is put to the test with a reluctant trip to the Scandinavian flat-pack furniture maze. Meet The McMelters was written by Stephen Large. It stars Ruth Curran and Paddy McDonnell. It was produced by Marc McElroy.
