Episode details

Available for over a year
Claudia Winkleman introduces Part 11, the final episode of Sounds of the 21st Century, recalling the music, the media and the stories of 2000 to 2010. No comment, no analysis, no celebrity memories, just the sounds of the year as they were heard at the time.

In this episode it's the soundtrack to 2010. As the ash cloud grounds the world's airlines, David Cameron and Nick Clegg appear in the rose garden at No.10 to announce a Tory/Liberal coalition. There's conflict in the Miliband family when Ed stands against brother David for the Labour leadership. Chris Evans takes over Radio 2 breakfast and there's music from Florence & the Machine, Owl City and Tinie Tempah.
