Three families are bound together by the fate of one baby lost and found at Tilbury Docks in 1946. And now a new generation of our characters begin to take their place in the rapidly changing Britain of the 1960s. Faith (formerly Eunice) has for 17 years been wracked by the guilt of 'losing' Baby Eunice. Knowing that the baby, now a young adult, must be alive, she is determined to find her and right the wrongs of the past. Her partner, Cardiff dockworker Trevor, has been increasingly getting involved in union politics.
