It’s Diwali and Sonya is joined by Sahani Gunesakara, the founder of Kanya London - an Asian-inspired clothing brand. Sahani started selling clothes back when she was at university on a stall, and was inspired by her mother who used to make her own clothes at home. Sahani has gone on to land herself a deal with one of the biggest fashion brands in the UK, ASOS. We’ll hear why Sahani wanted to make Asian inspired clothing and how she felt when she got a deal with ASOS. This week's 60 Second Career comes from Sahib, a professional Henna artist from west London. She started doing Henna at 17 years old and since then has created her own business and has even taught her own Henna classes!
