We began following the lives of Hope James, Eunice Faith Isaac and Gloria de Soto in the UK in 1946. Two generations of three families, bound together by the fate of one baby lost and found on Tilbury Docks in 1946, are taking their place in the rapidly changing Britain of the late 1960s. Joy (formerly 'Baby Eunice') was the baby lost at Tilbury Docks in 1946 and found by Gloria and Clement who she believes are her parents, though she hasn't seen them for years. Now in her twenties, she still can’t shake the feeling that she is out of place and lost. Immersed in the fully blossomed drug-fuelled counterculture, she encounters many fellow travellers journeying to what they hope will be a better place.
