In the mid 1970s the late broadcaster Paul Hollingdale, who died in 2017, spoke to Sid James for a series of interviews which were never aired in the UK. Although the exact date of this recording is unknown, references suggest it took place in late 1974, less than two years before the Carry On star's sudden death in 1976. In this extract, we hear a relaxed Sid reminisce about watching Carry On Cowboy on holiday in Spain, introducing Carry On Camping to an audience in Bangkok and being recognised at the passport desk at Honolulu airport.
