Bells on Sunday, comes from the parish church of St Mary the Virgin in Bures Suffolk. It is known that by 1840 there were six bells in the tower with the oldest bell dating from 1658. In 1951 they were augmented to eight bells by the Gillett and Johnston foundry of Croydon but retained an older 18th century oak bell frame in which the bells are hung in an anti-clockwise sequence.
