In this episode, Sue and Team Nature Table return to the Royal Botanical Gardens at Kew. Nipple-eyed horseflies, a fungus that sexually reproduces by itself, a fly that decapitates ants and poo-based fungi or ‘dungi’ wow Sue and the invited audience. Sue is joined by special guests: Kew Gardens’ Fungarium collections manager, Lee Davies; Principal Curator for Diptera & Siphonaptera at the Natural History Museum, Erica McAlister; and award-winning writer-comedian Dave Gorman. Nature Table has a simple clear brief: to positively celebrate and promote the importance of all our planet’s wonderfully wild flora and fauna in a fun and easily grasped way... whilst at the same time having a proper giggle.
