The Sheffield Philharmonic Chorus invite us to eavesdrop on their rehearsals as they prepare to perform Mozart’s celebrated Requiem, with the Flanders Symphony Orchestra. As their concert date approaches, our singers show how the tiniest details can transform what the music communicates, and the crucial elements that govern whether a performance soars or flops. Conductor, Kristiina Poska and Chorus Director, Darius Battiwalla are joined by choristers, Angela Argenzio, Rosalind Hobson, Ranjan Sen and Steve Terry. They share how they work together to uncover a message of hope and redemption in music that Mozart composed while he was dying.
