Cameroonian-Parisian DJ and producer, Tatyana Jane, closes the Pioneers special with an eclectic, rhythmic and pounding set. For one night only, the 2024 Annie Nightingale Pioneers are taking over Radio 1 and Radio 1 Dance to showcase their individual sounds. Annie Nightingale Pioneers is an initiative, continued in the late broadcaster's memory, that aims to champion up-and-coming female and non-binary DJs and producers, who are making waves in the electronic scene. Tatyana Jane is one of this year's brilliant recipients, alongside Tash LC and re:ni. Born in Douala, Cameroon, and raised in France, Tatyana's musical style is unique and deeply influenced by her rich cultural heritage. She's been causing a stir this year already: collaborating with the mighty Skrillex, releasing her second EP Infernal Circle and performing at the 2024 Paris Olympics. She fuses her strong bond with the traditional sounds and spirituality of her African homeland, with her love of contemporary broken rhythms, to create a sonic experience that transcends genre boundaries.
