Cancer Research in Wales

Science Cafe

Available for over a year

Adam Walton explores some of the innovative cancer research taking place in Wales today. The Wales Cancer Research Conference 2025, organised by the Wales Cancer Research Centre, was held earlier this year and saw many researchers and health professionals gather to discuss their very specialist work. To tell us all about it is Dr Helen Pearson from the School of Biosciences at Cardiff University. Dr Nicola Williams from Health and Care Research Wales discusses the importance of cancer research trials across Wales. Plus, former breast cancer surgeon and breast cancer survivor, Dr Liz O’Riordan, shares her experience as both expert and patient in her latest book, ‘The Cancer Roadmap’, a scientific guide for people living with cancer. Produced by Stuart Russell.
