Bryan Ferry At The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½

Sounds of the 70s with Bob Harris

Expires today 1:00am

As Bryan Ferry celebrates his 80th birthday, we track his iconic career from humble beginnings in the north east, through art school, to the foundation of one of the most innovative and stylish bands of all time, Roxy Music. We hear about the heights of their success in the 70s and 80s, alongside his solo career often reinventing old standards. Many Bryan interviews from the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ archive feature in this new compilation. He reflects on his love of fashion dating back to childhood trips to the cinema and concerts, Live Aid, his Jazz soundtrack work with Baz Luhrmann, all the musicians he has worked with, and composers such as Bob Dylan who he enjoys covering. Presenters in the programme include Jo Whiley, Sara Cox, Steve Wright, Tim Smith, Paul Gambaccini, Bob Harris, Cerys Matthews, Dermot O’Leary, Johnnie Walker, Kid Jensen and Vernon Kay.
