Brett Anderson: The musical ups and downs of my life
Journeys In SoundAvailable for 4 days
Brett Anderson of Suede shares the music that has sound-tracked his life, with Nemone. Alongside the release of the band's 10th album Antidepressants. He talks about growing up Haywards Heath in a house that blasted classical music, and how his search for musical direction led him to punk and beyond. Talking to Nemone, who combines her roles of DJ and qualified psychotherapist, Brett dives deep to share his story and the songs that have moved him over the ups and downs of life. He also reflects on his process as a writer, what he's learned in over thirty years of song writing, and what music perfectly soundtracks playing ping pong with his son. With music from Crass, Joni Mitchell, Kate Bush and The Fall. In this series Nemone also talks in depth to musicians Jehnny Beth, Sofia Kourtesis and Viv Albertine.
