An afternoon of compelling performances including highlights from summer chamber music concerts across Bavaria and there is a spotlight on orchestral works featuring solo viola. Introduced by Fiona Talkington. Throughout the week, Classical Live is foregrounding specially recorded concerts from various Bavarian summer music festivals. Today, Trio Orleon perform Beethoven’s Archduke Piano Trio from Oberstdorf Summer of Music. And we will hear Norman Hallam’s Dance Suite from a festival in Ingolstadt. Plus, each day, an orchestral work with viola solo will be showcased. Today Hindemith’s Kammermusik No.5 will be performed by Timothy Ridout, the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Philharmonic Orchestra and conductor Martyn Brabbins. And The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Scottish Symphony Orchestra perform Sibelius's three-movement 3rd Symphony.
