Jehnny Beth, vocalist with Savages, now established solo artist and accomplished actor, shares the pivotal moments that have made her the artist she is today. Talking to Nemone, who combines her roles of DJ and qualified psychotherapist, Jehnny dives deep to share her story and the songs that have moved her with songs from Placebo, Joy Division and Franz Ferdinand. Jehnny reflects on her musical life, from taking to the stage as a youngster, through to her musical projects as Johnny & Jehnny, Savages, and her solo records. Reflecting on her visceral performance style, music and its relationship to movement, her relationship with partner and collaborator Johnny Hostile, and the themes behind her latest LP You Heartbreaker, You. In this series Nemone also talks in depth to musicians Suede’s Brett Anderson, Sofia Kourtesis and Viv Albertine.
