Radcliffe and Maconie

Available for 24 days

Mark and Stuart present a feast of great music and chat for weekend breakfast. Today they celebrate the 75th anniversary of the world-famous Peanuts comic strip. Created by Charles M. Schulz, with a cast of characters including Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Lucy and Woodstock, the comic strip was first published in October 1950. It was syndicated to newspapers across the world, translated into 21 languages, and is said to have had a readership in the region of 350 million. Mark and Stuart chat all things Peanuts and play a selection of tenuously related tracks. Also on the show... a host of quality radio items including 'The Chain' - our world-famous list of over 8000 interconnected songs. There’s also the chance to take part in ‘Tea Time Theme Time’, guessing the link between three top tunes. Plus a finely balanced blend of new and old music, setting you up for a Sunday. Produced in Salford by Audio Always for ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio 6 Music
