Elizabeth Alker introduces an afternoon of compelling performances including highlights from the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra and there is a spotlight on current Radio 3 New Generation Artists, violinist Hana Chang and soprano Johanna Wallroth. Throughout the week, Classical Live is foregrounding specially recorded concerts from the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra. Today they perform Prokofiev's Suite from 'Love for Three Oranges’ with conductor Kazuki Yamada, Ravel's Tzigane with violinist Henrik Naimark Meyers and are joined by conductor Maxim Emelyanychev for a concert performance of Rachmaninov's great choral symphony ‘The Bells’.
