Book Week NI: Stuart Bailie

Stephen McCauley

Available for 29 days

Celebrating Book Week NI with legendary music journalist Stuart Bailie. In a career spanning 40 years, music journalist Stuart Bailie has reported from, reflected on and, in some cases, helped to instigate some of the biggest music stories of the last few decades. His new book “The Song is Nearly Over: Music Stories 1985-2025” collects together highlights from his career so far and, even though the title suggests that this might be a swansong of sorts, it’s clear the Stuart has lost none of his sharpness or fervour for the subject matter. The overall playlist will be loosely themed on literature, libraries, authors and books, in general, featuring The Cure, Broadcast, Andy White, Kate Bush, Radiohead, The Rolling Stones and The Books.
