Inspired by the poetry of James Fenton, Ross’s ‘Alphabet Angel’ is a project taken on by the local community in Bushmills, funded by the Housing Executive and the Lottery Fund amongst others. We hear from Ross that this sculpture is a marker to the Ulster-Scots tongue and he explains the significance of the piece; before Gerry McCluskey of the Housing Executive outlines more about the project as a whole. James Fenton addresses the crowd on the poem which inspired the Angel and reads ‘On Slaimish’. (Broadcast 13 Feb 2005)
