Business Daily

Available for over a year

Is the world heading towards a fresh crisis? Leading hedge fund manager, Lee Robinson of Trafalgar Asset Managers, has published a book, with the sinister title,'The Gathering Storm'. It is a collection of essays written by people who work in financial markets, looking at whether there could be another meltdown. The proceeds of the book are going to charity. Its authors have voiced concern about currency wars, protectionism, higher commodity prices, runaway inflation and a sovereign debt crisis. Lesley Curwen talks to Lee Robinson about the risk of such a storm, and the role of hedge funds and banks in the last crisis. Plus the influential economist Ha-Joon Chang, from Cambridge University, attacks what he sees as the fundamental flaws of capitalism. And, how the character of your workspace can make you happy and more productive, according to Craig Knight, Managing Director of Prism, a research consultancy which works with the University of Exeter.
