The official cost of the flood disaster in Pakistan has been estimated at close to $10 billion. But some think that huge figure is far short of the mark, including James Caan, the British Pakistani entrepreneur, investor and philanthropist. He is one of the 'Dragons' on the British TV series Dragons Den, where aspiring business people have to persuade the Dragons to invest money in their ventures. James Caan's Foundation is paying for the reconstruction of an entire village in Pakistan. He tells Lesley Curwen that in his opinion, Pakistan does not have enough funding to complete the re-building of one component of the economy, the transport system, let alone all the rest.
