Ray Winstone

The Film Programme

Available for over a year

Ray Winstone talks about the brutal yet beautiful film The Proposition. Written by Nick Cave, it's an Australian Western in which three brothers are reluctantly pitted against each other. Critic Matthew Sweet looks at the 1933 classic 'I'm No Angel', in which a bizarre Mae West tames lions and lures men, cracking her famous one-liners all the way through. Francine talks to Angelica Huston about These Foolish Things, a romantic comedy set in London Theatreland before the Second World War. Director Gavin Hood won the best foreign language film Oscar at this week's Academy Awards for Tsotsi, a harrowing but electric film about life in a South African township.
