Terrorist financing

Business Daily

Available for over a year

After the death of Osama Bin Laden, how successful has been the drive against terrorist financing which began a decade ago? Lesley Curwen talks to Anna Murison, head of the Global Jihad Analysis team at Exclusive Analysis. She explains that finance regulations brought in since 2001 have reduced many groups to staging smaller, low-budget terrorist actions. Plus, in the wake of the Fukushima nuclear accident, fears have intensified in India about a new nuclear power station to be built south of Mumbai. It will be on the coast and in an active earthquake zone. Villagers have been campaigning to halt the project for two years: one protestor died last week. The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½'s Julian O'Halloran reports from the area near the plant.
