With the 2012 Olympics just days away, Britain's capital city will soon be the sporting centre of the world. But its stories started millenia ago. London Calling is the final instalment of the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ World Service's series The London Chronicles. In it Francesca Panetta goes on an audio journey, away from the fanfare and voices of the venues, to listen to the city's murky and varied past. Can a city retain a memory, and if so what does it sound like? London Calling was presented and produced by Francesca Panetta.
