Speaking to Woman’s Hour presenter Jenni Murray, Paglia explores how and why Hitchcock sought to control the women who starred in his films, especially the beautiful former-model Tippi Hedren. Hedren played the lead in his 1963 film The Birds and became the object of Hitchock’s desire but refused to give in to his advances.
