Richard Dawkins: ‘Biology is on the front line’

The Life Scientific

Available for over a year

Evolutionary biologist Professor Richard Dawkins explores his love of science and his reasons for promoting atheism with Life Scientific presenter Jim Al-Khalili. Dawkins shot to fame and courted controversy in 1976 with his book about evolution The Selfish Gene. Over twenty years later he is writing his autobiography and acknowledges that he is now perhaps more famous for his criticism of religion in best-selling books like The God Delusion. But he says that science is still his true love and that scientists must band together to protect their subject from any religious teaching that might seek to disprove scientific truths.
