Nicky wanted to have a conversation with her Aunt Dodge about Dodge’s husband Paddy, who died when Nicky was six. Nicky has never been able to remember her Uncle Paddy but she been told by everyone who does that he was a wonderful man. Dodge and Paddy met when they were working at a hospital in Wolverhampton and Dodge was swept off her feet. They immediately fell in love and married. But when Paddy died young, Dodge was left with four children under the age of sixteen.
