Lorraine and Claire have known each other for a couple of years. They met through their church in Edinburgh, and their friendship came at a turning for both of them. Claire had not long retired, and Lorraine had just moved into a house on her own in the centre of Edinburgh. As someone with physical and learning disabilities, this was a challenging but ultimately rewarding experience for Lorraine. While Claire's helped her to make that transition, Lorraine has helped Claire to enjoy a new life which doesn't centre around work.
