Tom Jones is inducted into Michael Ball's Singers Hall of Fame

Sunday Night with Michael Ball

Available for over a year

Nominator: Sonia Rocke From: Wrexham Sonia has her nomination of Tom Jones inducted into the Singers Hall of Fame on Sunday Night with Michael Ball. Why: "In 1971 he had a hit record which I remember seeing on Top of the Pops. He performed a song which changed my view of him as a singer instantly. Hearing this song was a big moment for a very immature 14 year old. The song was Till, and I played that single on repeat on my record player for many hours. It was - and still is - a wonderful big ballad, sung by one of the greatest singers to come from Wales, Sir Tom Jones.” What a voice. And what a perfect addition to the Hall of Fame, thank-you Sonia!
