We were talking about dry stone walls on the show yesterday and how they're built and maintained, well of course they go hand in hand with hedges, many of which were dug up over the last fity or sixty years. Everything goes in circles though, because farmers are now being encouraged to replant the hedges they were persuaded to grub up as I found out this morning at a farm near Scraptoft....
