This week’s guest on Desi Nation was a Bengali-Jamaican-Geordie musician living in Manchester. Sash –wati Sengupta has grown up everywhere from Jamaica to Saudi Arabia and ended up in the UK. She co-runs Manchester's Balkan music night 'The Satellite State Disko'. She's particularly interested in Balkan Roma music and its cultural and historical link to India.
