Broadband: New protection against mid-contract price rises

Shelagh Fogarty

Available for over a year

This week's Consumer Team hears from Sunil in Newcastle who says he saw his broadband bill increase in the middle of an 18-month contract. Dominic Laurie and Money Saving Expert Martin Lewis speak to Lynn Parker, Ofcom's Director of Consumer Protection, who explains how consumers taking out a new landline, broadband or mobile contract should be allowed to cancel their contract without a fee if their provider increases the monthly price that was agreed at the point of sale.
