Author of the Adrian Mole series, Sue Townsend, has died aged 68. In 2012 Sue Townsend joined 5 live's cricket correspondent Jonathan Agnew at Trent Bridge for one of his 'View from the Boundary' interviews. In this archive interview the novelist describes how she got the idea for her famous character: "I wrote Adrian Mole when my son asked 'Why can't we go to Safari parks like other families do?'
